How Do Vulcan Ember-Resistant Vents Work?
Vulcan Vents combine stainless-steel ember screening with a heat-activated intumescent honeycomb matrix. During normal conditions, the baffle-free design allows air to move through the vent. During a wildfire, the screen helps block wind-driven embers, while high heat causes the internal matrix to expand and close pathways against flame intrusion.
